The Robert Bosch Stiftung is one of the major German foundations associated with a private company and has managed the philanthropic bequest of the company's founder, Robert Bosch, for more than 50 years. It was his entrepreneurial vision, political farsightedness, moral fortitude, and charitable initiatives that set the standards for the work of the Robert Bosch Stiftung.

Partners

GGF relied on the commitment and support of partner institutions. The network of GGF partners consisted of leading academic institutions, foundations and think tanks from Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Africa, and the United States. The partner institutions also hosted the GGF dialogue sessions in their respective countries.

Germany

The Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) is an independent think tank based in Berlin. Its mission is to develop innovative strategies for effective and accountable governance and to achieve lasting impact at the interface of the public sector, business and civil society through research, consulting and debate.

The Hertie School of Governance, founded in 2003 as one of the first German professional schools for public policy, is a project of the Hertie Foundation. It prepares exceptionally talented students and young professionals for leadership roles in today’s rapidly changing world.

Brazil

Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) is a Brazilian higher education institution founded in 1944. Its original goal was to train people for the country's public- and private-sector management. FGV produces a large amount of academic research. The subjects cover macro and micro-economics, finance, business, decision-making, law, health, welfare, poverty and unemployment, pollution, and sustainable development.

China

Tsinghua University was established in 1911 and is ranked one of the top universities in China. The School of Public Policy and Management (SPPM) of Tsinghua University is the first graduate school in public administration in China. SPPM aims to foster a new generation of leaders in Chinese and global public affairs and to pursue academic excellence in public policy and management research. SPPM engages in teaching, research and consulting in global public affairs.

Fudan University, located in Shanghai, is one of the oldest, most prestigious and most selective universities in the People’s Republic of China. Its institutional predecessor was founded in 1905, shortly before the end of China’s imperial Qing dynasty.

France

The Institut français des relations internationales (Ifri) is the principal institution for independent research and debate in France that is dedicated to the analysis of international affairs and global governance. Founded in 1979 Ifri’s policy-oriented research strives to illuminate international events and put them in perspective. Ifri’s activities favor analysis and foresight concerning European and international affairs, and adopt a multidisciplinary approach that takes local, national and global perspectives into consideration.

India

Ashoka University is a philanthropic initiative founded by eminent scholars and visionaries to promote liberal arts education in India. It offers multidisciplinary courses of thought and socially conscious modes of study.

The Center for Policy Research (CPR) is an independent and non-partisan research institute and think tank. Its main objectives are to provide thought leadership and creative solutions to address pressing intellectual and policy issues. It is one of the 27 national social science research institutes recognized by the Indian Council of Social Science Research. It is set apart by its multi-disciplinary approach and unique blend of scholarship and practical expertise. CPR’s faculty has considerable impact on policy and public debates.

Indonesia

The Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Jakarta is an independent, non-profit organization focusing on policy-oriented studies on domestic and international issues. Founded in 1971, CSIS’ mission is to contribute to improved policy making through policy-oriented research, dialogue, and public debate. This is based on the belief that long-term planning and vision for Indonesia and the region must be based on an in-depth understanding of economic, political, and social issues, including regional and international developments.

Japan

The Tokyo Foundation is an independent, non-profit think tank that presents concrete policy proposals based on a lucid analysis of the issues, combined with a solid grasp of everyday life and the reality on the ground. It cultivates socially engaged future leaders with broad perspectives and deep insight, both in Japan and overseas.

Keio University, founded in 1858 in Tokyo, is Japan’s first private institution of higher education. It maintains the finest faculty and the highest standard of research and scholarship. Today’s Keio students strive to develop leadership qualities and have risen to the forefront of innovation in every academic field, emerging as social and economic leaders.

South Africa

The South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) is South Africa’s premier research institute on international issues. As an independent, non-government think tank, SAIIA provides thought leadership in Africa. SAIIA’s work spans social development, foreign policy, governance, the environment, and economic policy, linking local experiences with global debates.


United States

The Brookings Institution is a non-profit public policy organization based in Washington, DC. The Brookings Institution conducts high-quality, independent research and, based on that research, provides innovative and practical recommendations.

The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs is a professional public policy school at Princeton University. The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs prepares talented individuals for careers in the service of the US and the world.
